Old Town Waffles in Clovis

Good breakfast. Stopped here because we were hungry and the other place had a line. The corned beef hash with medium poached eggs was perfect. All my friends were happy with their food as well. Excellent service by everyone. If I lived in Clovis, I’d eat here on a regular basis

Old town waffles is a nice place. Reminds me of a 1950s dinner but also a bit like a southern country kitchen. I got the bacon cheese burger with an apple pie shake. The bacon on the cheese burger was outstanding with thick crispy slices, and not overly salted. The beef patty was the perfect size. Enough to fill you up with out over stuffing you like a Turkey. The apply pie shake is sort of a dream. It's not gross or artificial tasting. It's quite delightful with a lighter feel. Its an outstanding place with an attentive staff. That being said, I did have to request for their attention instead of being served, however I did sit at the counter. I would totally come back to this place again and try out more of their meals!

It was good. The steak had more fat than meat yet it was good.

Ordered crepes. They were warm. Cold bluberries and cheap whipped stuff in top. Two cold microwaved sausages next to it. Disinterested staff served me. Much too excited by the large party eating nearby. $17 plus tip for a bfast you could make at home for 2 dollars.

We make a visit here a few times a year. This is my first review. The customer service and food is great for the price. They have a nice selection of different waffles. My son had the churro waffle and my wife had an omelette. See attached pics. Definitely worth a visit.

Not bad prices, great service and good food. Would go again. The Eggs Benedict was great, will definitely get waffles next time.

The food was great. The service felt a bit slow. We also could have used more napkins. The portions were a good size though. The only other concern was that it felt kind of warm in there. The place is unique and it seems that they have various specials going on all the time. I would probably like to try this place again when we are in the area.

Biscuits and gravy tasted microwaved and the service was slow, I have had better from the frozen food aisle at the grocery store.

There country scramble was amazing! Ordered a plain waffle on the side and it was great as well.

My visit here was almost perfect! The service is great, we had a table of 10 and it only took 5 minutes to wait. Drinks and food all came fast and everything was delicious. Only thing I would have changed is their choice of whip, it may seem silly to even notice but I really hate oil based whip. Other than that everything was wonderful!

Burger tasted like it was mostly plant material, over salted. Wife enjoyed her veggie omelet. Good service , just need to get real meat in their burger.

Definitely out go-to for weekend breakfast. Wait times are minimal and service is outstanding. Prices are as to be expected at any breakfast house. Food quality is excellent. Our family favorite.

Great food and very friendly service. Waffles and pancakes are great and I love the giant jars for the beverages. Also, mimosas were great! Great for families too.

Prices are what you would expect (9 to 14 bucks) and the food is pretty filling. The strong suit of this place is their speed. We were seated quickly and they had the food out even faster.

I ordered the huevos Rancheros... Food and service was good.

We just left there. It took over 35 minutes for us to get a table. We watched as many groups who signed up after us got called to get tables before us. After asking a couple times the host got us a table. Once seated we weren’t acknowledged by the waitress for 10 minutes. They gave us the wrong waffle but we didn’t even bother telling them because of how long everything else took. The food was fine. I wouldn’t return because of the service.

Service was slow, but the food was delicious. Staff was trying to keep up with the orders and the tables which slowed things down. Very friendly folks.

Really good coffee and service. Always greeted at the door, and table service is always polite and attentive. Counter seating available and a small banquet room. Clean restrooms. Linguica is delicious, other breakfasts are quite good too. The fruit medley waffle is good.

First time to this building in 30 years. I used to come here in the 80s when it was called Chippers. I like the atmosphere and service was outstanding. Chicken and waffles were good. Looking forward to trying some of the specialty waffles next. This place is always packed for good reason.

The service is kind of quick not really. But when you order the food it takes twice as long to get it. The food is very meh, the waffles are only good because they have a ton of sugar. The quality is what brings it down a lot, it tastes as if they made your food then waited for 35 minutes to give it to. It tastes if someone watered down bacon grease added some sugar and served it on a plate. I feel sad after eating the food there are only idiot sandwiches working in the restaurant. Sad.

We go here often and the breakfast is usually great and the service is stellar. This is the second time recently (4/12/19) that the service was slow, no coffee refills, etc. Same servers but something has changed. This will no longer be my "breakfast place." Thanks for the memories. 😥
